sakura buffet
Dear people of the world.. On the 02/02/2007, after a tiring NAPFA test, my sick dear2 met up with me and claire. and we hurriedly rushed to commonwealth to salvage my long-lost ipod nano's earpiece, which was safely kept by one of my ncc friends for the past 1 1/2 months. so after that long journey, spongebob (i call claire that call she has such a square head now) elatedly remarked that she wanted to eat something exotic. first, it was nan thai. but we decided not to since the food there were all heaty and dear2 is still running a temp. that i suddenly thought of this place which my father has always been talking about and has been his monthly port to dine with his whole department at work after a tight and busy schedule. though it seemed inaccessible, we perservered and our perseverance led us to a journey of heaven-filled stomachs... location: on top of a hill opposite NUS School od Design & Environment. Beside Tentera Mosque. @ Clementi Woods. From Clementi MRT take bus no. 183. stop at 5th stop. =) Sakura International Cuisine Buffet Restaurant. A variety of western dishes like fish and chips, nuggets, fries and all the western food you can think of. 6 different kinds of pizza, ranging from seafood, tuna, margarita, mushrooms, etc. A wide selection of sushi, of which only dear2 and claire touched because i was too engrossed in my grilled salmon. Fruits served in a chiller was of an excellent quality, ranging from seedless grapes, kiwi, starfruit, watermelon, soursop etc. My favourite.. soft and succulent Unagi!! Electric EEL grilled with sauce and seaweed.. nice!!! A truly authentic chinese sharks' fin soup, purely made of sharks' fin and served in a hot boiling stove. Handmade dumplings, a choice for non-spicy taste buds and more onto the chinese cuisine. Soft and subtle but flavourful in the inside. The cold dish, from muscles, to clamps, scallops, prawns, sotong and such. served with chilli sauce, sweet thai chilli sauce, and a sprinkle of lemon to add the taste. Counters and counters of chefs line themselves in preparation to serve nothing but the best. Which includes satay, unagi, boneless hainanese chicken rice etc. A spread of soft delicacies for that sweet tooth. simply irresistable. strawberry delights, chocolate truffle (must try), cheesecake (superbly dished), mango cake, blackforest cake (so original), kiwi cake etc.. The very tough to cook, grilled salmon was my choice over a variety of lamb chop, beef steak, chicken chop and dory fish. simply ooohlala. Serving was small and fast. So, no hesitancy of 'not being able to finish the food' or 'poor service.' want some more? clip to the stands baybeh.
