a baby was born..
Dear angels,
i've never been this amazed about life, nursing and God's creations in particular... i never knew the beginning of a newborn was this intricate and delicate and that every mother who is able to conceive and go through labour pain should feel blessed and overjoyed...
i never knew....
until...
i witnessed the delivery of a Malay-Arab baby boy... @ 1559hr today. What a blessing. i saw the contractions, the fetal height, the heartbeat, touched the mother's hands and reassured her that everything was going to be fine.. and saw how the doctor created three episiotomy cuts with no screamings nor screechings from the mummy.. and how the baby was safely delivered, suctioned and wrapped in a towel.. and how i invited the daddy (an arab muslim but look like american) to say the azan (prayers) for their 3rd bundle of joy and only boy so far..... and we touched and analyzed the placenta...
what a blessing... =) *contented*.. was in the labour ward yesterday but there was no delivery during my shift... thanks to emiline for calling me down today after my duty.... you all got shifts? we all obstetrics in sgh all AM whole week... heard KKH don't allow delivery to be witnessed by students? Yan Ping observed THREE yesterday at NUH....
till we meet again laydees...
love..
signed, sealed, delivered with a kiss: brownie suszy
chocolate-spongecake @ 5:55 PM
